PESHAWAR: Due to heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in certain places like Mohmand, Bajaur, Tirah, Chitral, and Khyber, some important infrastructure facilities including roads, bridges, and houses were damaged due to which the local population was encountering many problems.

As a result, the personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North immediately rushed into the areas and conducted rescue operations to save people from trouble. The rescue squads not only offered first aid to the injured but also treated sick persons as well.

Furthermore, the rescue squad evacuated the local inhabitants and distributed necessities among them.

The gratefulness of the local community could not be contained and they appreciated the efforts made by the security personnel for saving their lives and offer them humanitarian treatment in difficult conditions.

The security personnel have yet again exhibited that how much loyal they remain towards citizens whenever needed to ensure their well-being.

Meanwhile, Mohmand tribal district has witnessed massive destruction, with five deaths and nine people wounded. The heavy rain has brought havoc in different parts of the region, causing the fall of many houses and damaging standing crops.

Two people died in the unfortunate event in Farsh Mamad Gat in Tehsil Safi after the falling of the room. In addition, four people got hurt in the same occurrence. Another person died in Tehsil Baizai after a room in Musa Khel Baba Jor.

Heavy rains have damaged several houses, walls, and porches in many locations, with many buildings falling down. Moreover, the rains have damaged the crops, rendering many farms useless.

Local authorities are doing their best to assist those who have been affected by this tragedy and measure the total damages.
