Meezan Bank has launched a special partnership with Vlektra Electric Motorcycles to promote eco-friendly transportation in Pakistan and help consumers cope with inflation.

Under this new program, customers can acquire Velktra’s innovative electric bikes through easy instalments for one year, with no interest or markup. This initiative is part of Meezan Bank’s ‘Apni Bike’ program, which is based on the Islamic financing principle of ‘Musawamah’. The unique aspect of this model is that the customer pays only the actual price of the bike in monthly instalments over a period of 12 months, without incurring additional interest or markup.

According to bank officials, the objective of this initiative is to provide Sharia-compliant financial options to customers. Vlektra electric motorcycles are growing in popularity due to their advanced technology and performance. These bikes come equipped with powerful electric motors ranging from 1500 to 2000 watts, making urban travel efficient and eliminating the high costs of petrol. They are designed with eco-friendly travel in mind.

Customers concerned about rising petrol prices and interested in purchasing an electric bike can visit any nearby Meezan Bank branch to learn about their eligibility and various financing options. Additionally, applications can be submitted online through the bank’s official website.

Economists consider this program a significant milestone in promoting electric vehicles (EVs) in Pakistan and providing affordable transportation options.
