In response to rising inflation and increasing petroleum prices, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has officially launched the Ehsaas Fuel Support Program aimed at low-income individuals. The registration process commenced today, April 6.

Initiated under the special direction of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, the primary goal of this program is to alleviate the financial burden on daily commuters and small transporters.

Through this scheme, eligible participants will receive a monthly fuel subsidy of Rs. 2,000, specifically designed for owners of motorcycles, scooters, and rickshaws.

To facilitate an easy and transparent registration process, the provincial government has introduced the Dastak app. This allows eligible citizens to register from home without needing to visit any office.

According to Shafi Jan, the Special Assistant on Information, this subsidy will be distributed to transporters and ordinary citizens via digital wallets, ensuring complete transparency in the system. He said that this initiative aims to provide direct relief to the poor and daily commuters while the provincial government continues to work on introducing additional relief measures in the future for public welfare.
