Iran has claimed that it has shot down another US F-35 fighter jet near Qaisham Island.
According to Iranian media, the US plane came under the Iranian Navy’s target while flying over the Strait of Hormuz and the pilot of the plane has no chance of survival. The Iranian fleet also attacked the Abraham Lincoln with cruise missiles, and the Israeli government’s oil tanker Echo A1 was also targeted in the Persian Gulf, which resulted in a fire in the tanker.
Tensions also increased in Israel, where a missile exploded and caught fire after it fell in the middle of Tel Aviv. The Israeli defense system failed to stop the Iranian attack, which damaged houses and vehicles and injured six civilians who ran to bunkers after sirens sounded.
Iran has claimed that a secret location of US troops in the United Arab Emirates was targeted, resulting in the death of 37 American soldiers. According to an Iranian military spokesman, the attack was carried out at the site of an ongoing US military meeting in the Emirates.
Experts say that this latest increase in tension in the Persian Gulf could have a serious impact on the global energy market and international relations.
