PESHAWAR: The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has announced special arrangements for domestic and international tourists visiting the province during Eid-ul-Fitr.

Under the directives of Chief Minister Mohammad Sohail Afridi and Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah, the KP Tourism, Culture, Archaeology, and Museums Department has put in place measures to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for visitors.

Director General of the Tourism Authority, Muhammad Usman Mehsud, said the government warmly welcomes tourists to the province and expects a higher influx compared to last year. “Tourism police will be on duty to facilitate traffic flow and provide assistance to visitors. All leaves for tourism police personnel have been canceled to ensure maximum coverage,” he added.

Tourist Information and Facilitation Centers will remain fully operational throughout Eid. A 24-hour helpline (1422) is available for travelers to report complaints, seek guidance, or address hotel-related issues.

Mehsud also advised tourists to contact the helpline before traveling for updates on weather and road conditions. The KP Tourism Authority, district administrations, and relevant departments will remain fully active at key tourist spots to provide all possible assistance.

These measures aim to promote safe, enjoyable, and hassle-free tourism during the festive period while highlighting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s cultural and natural attractions.
