The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Peshawar’s historic Qasim Ali Khan Mosque has also not received any evidence of sighting the Shawwal moon, after which the committee has formally announced to observe fasting tomorrow and celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday.
The local Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Qasim Ali Khan Mosque said that the Shawwal moon was not sighted, due to which Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21.
Maulana Khairul Bashar, a key member of the committee, while talking to the media, clarified that Qasim Ali Khan Mosque has not received any Shariah evidence of the moon, therefore, tomorrow will be the 30th fast and Eid will be on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Peshawar has also formally announced that the Shawwal moon was not sighted, fully supporting the decision of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The statement issued after the Zonal Committee meeting held in Peshawar said that no Shariah moon sighting was received from any part of the province, so the committee unanimously agrees with the decision of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee that Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Saturday.
On the other hand, the moon of Shawwal 1447 AH has not been sighted in Pakistan, after which the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has formally announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated with religious fervor across the country on Saturday, March 21.
The meeting of the Central Committee held in Islamabad was chaired by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, in which reports and technical evidence received from across the country were reviewed.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that no Shariah moon sighting was received from any part of Pakistan, so it has been unanimously decided that the 30th fast will be on Friday and Eid will be on Saturday.
