Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Bill Gates Foundation Founder Bill Gates on the sidelines of 80th Session of UN General Assembly.

The Prime Minister recalled the remarkable relief operations carried out by the Bill Gates Foundation in view of the 2022 floods and also termed the assistance provided after the recent 2025 floods as commendable.

The Prime Minister thanked the Bill Gates Foundation for its support in the government’s initiatives for polio eradication, improving immunity and nutritional quality, and economic inclusion in Pakistan. Furthermore, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Bill Gates Foundation’s continued support in achieving complete polio eradication.

The Prime Minister specially appreciated the Bill Gates Foundation’s practical and positive support in the comprehensive economic reforms and digitalization undertaken by the government. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Bill Gates reiterated their commitment to continue joint cooperation in initiatives such as improving Pakistan’s economic and social development, especially health, nutritional quality and immunity, economic inclusion, and digitalization of the economy.
