Pakistan army has issued stern warning to Afghan Taliban to wipe out them if they launched any provocation and adventurism on Pakistan soil.

The intense tension on the Pak-Afghan border (Durand Line) for the last 48 hours, Pakistani security forces have further strengthened their positions. The soldiers deployed on the frontline have issued a “strict warning” in response to the continuous provocations from across the border.

According to security sources, the message from the soldiers on the border is clear and “No provocation by Afghanistan will be tolerated at all. Border violation, infiltration or any adventurism will be given a prompt and befitting reply. Pakistan is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and border integrity.”

Following Pakistan’s airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan on February 22, the Afghan Taliban have resumed unprovoked firing at Torkham, Tirah and Kurram locations.

The Pakistan Army has made it clear that these operations were carried out against the “Fitnat al-Khawarij” (TTP), and now any cross-border firing is being responded to with “pressurizing force”.
