BANNU (Salman Ali Khan): The dead bodies of two of three brothers were found in Marwat Canal in Bannu, who were reportedly abducted by Fitna Al Khwarij from the Bannu Cant area last night.
According to the Bannu police, three brothers, two of them were police personnel, and one was an employee of the deputy commissioner’s office, were abducted by militants from a mosque in the Cant area.
Police said the militants have killed two of them (police personnel) and thrown their bodies in the Marwat Canal found on Thursday morning, and shifted to the hospital.
According to sources, three persons, reportedly brothers, were kidnapped at gunpoint by 10 to 12 armed men from the Faqir Mosque area of Sokari Hassan Khel within the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station on Thursday night.
According to police sources, the incident occurred during Isha prayers when the assailants stormed the mosque and forcibly took the three men away to an undisclosed location.
The abductees have been identified as Saeed Akhtar, an employee of the Commissioner’s Office, Police Constable Amjad, and Constable Hazratullah.
