ISLAMABAD: Former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has stated that there are differences in intentions and internal conflicts within the party; otherwise, the founder would not be in jail today.
While speaking to the media at the District Court of Islamabad, Gandapur sharply criticized his party’s strategy and acknowledged that if their internal affairs were in order, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) would have already been released.
He expressed concern over the law and justice system in the country, questioning why they continue to fail despite significant public support and recognition.
Gandapur remarked that there seems to be a lack of alignment in their intentions or ongoing disputes among members. He emphasized that they are engaging in activities that stray from their original purpose and that they are being used foolishly.
In an emotional statement, he noted that the founder of PTI is currently in a challenging situation and if he expresses his frustrations, he hopes others will understand. He criticized the party’s campaign and pointed out that the promised pressure campaign for the founder’s release has not materialized.
He expressed disappointment that not only is the release distant, but the founder is also being denied access to medical care, highlighting this as a clear failure on their part.
Gandapur aimed at party leaders, stating, If dialogue and making TikToks had made a difference, we wouldn’t be in this situation today. He clarified that pressure is not exerted through mere words, but through behavior and action. Problems cannot be solved by just sitting back, making threats, or posting videos; true strength should be demonstrated through actions.
Responding to questions about his previous silence, he said he has never been silent and is not silent now. Currently, he is working as a party member without holding any official position, but he has demonstrated his commitment by organizing the largest rallies in his constituency. He challenged others by claiming that no one has conducted more activities than his rallies.
