Federal Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination Division and Ad-hoc President Pakistan Hockey Federation Mohiuddin Wani has announced the immediate lifting of the two-year ban on national hockey team captain Imad Butt.
Mohiuddin Wani said that now the players will focus their full attention on training and matches, while the federation will handle other administrative matters. He stressed on restoring an atmosphere of trust and transparency and reorganizing the team management system.
The ad-hoc president further said that solving urgent and important issues on a short-term basis is the top priority, while a comprehensive vision will be developed under the medium-term strategy. The coaching and training system will be improved and institutional linkages will be promoted.
He announced that a new leadership will soon be elected in the federation through transparent and democratic elections. At the same time, a commitment was also expressed to ensure transparent and effective use of resources and provide the best facilities to the players through partnership with the private sector.
Mohiuddin Wani, while thanking the Prime Minister, said that transparency and justice will be prioritized in every decision so that Pakistan Hockey can regain its lost position.
