Khawaja Asif warns CM Afridi’s actions could harm constitutional respect
On December 30, the Minister of Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has criticized the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, in a comment on his X handle (previously Twitter) and raised loud criticism on the recent political actions about the constitutional dignity.
According to Khawaja Asif, the continuous aggression against the federal capital by the astrologers of Afridi has not only the sanctions of the constitutional offices but also the goodwill between the provinces and hence, the whole country has been affected negatively.
Moreover, the minister accused Afridi’s party leaders of dividing Pakistan throughout their political life. He indicated that the party members are being tacitly encouraged by their leaders to use very derogatory and rude words on the internet.
He gave a strong caution that this kind of behaviour is not only harmful to constitutional democracy but also acts as a deterrent to public support for the political system.
Khawaja Muhammad Asif underlined that all from the political spectrum should together disapprove of this action and do something against it, so that the respect of the courts is restored, the inter-provincial peace is safeguarded, and the civil and disciplined behaviour in national politics is promoted.
