ABBOTTABAD: A significant development emerged in the slain Dr Warda murder case here on Monday after the suspects’ appearance before the local courts. One of the suspects has confessed to the crime.

In a significant development in the ongoing Dr Warda kidnapping and murder case, authorities have made critical strides following the confession of the primary accused, Pervez.

The police have filed an appeal in the High Court, seeking the extradition of the accused as they emphasise the gravity of the case and the necessity for custody during the investigation.

As the investigation progresses, key evidence has emerged. Gold items and 10 receipts were recovered from Waheed Bala, husband of the alleged mastermind, Ridda Jadoon. Additionally, the police have managed to recover the murder weapon—a rope identified as the instrument used in the tragic strangulation of Dr Warda.

Financial records have also surfaced, with the confiscation of checks totalling 12.3 million associated with the accused. The investigation team has meticulously fulfilled all legal requirements concerning the accused, including the meticulous identification of crime scenes and significant planning locations relevant to the case.

An intricate web of planning has been uncovered: the initial scheme to kidnap and murder Dr Warda involved a collaboration between Waheed Bala, Ridda Jadoon, and another accused, Nadeem, initially taking place at Waheed’s residence. Furthermore, a second plot was devised at a local shop, while the third planning session convened at Sheikh Dheri, where Shamareez, Nadeem, and Pervez combined their efforts.

With the investigation team presenting compelling evidence and witness testimonies in court, this case highlights the serious implications of organised crime and the relentless pursuit of justice. As the legal proceedings continue, the community remains vigilant and hopeful for a resolution in this shocking case.
