The Deputy Secretary of the Peshawar Education Board, Mehdi Jan, has been suspended by the competent authority for 120 days.
The official notification of the suspension has been issued by the Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the notification, a two-member inquiry committee has also been formed to investigate the appointment and promotion of the Deputy Secretary Peshawar Education Board. The committee will consist of the Secretary of Sports and the Additional Secretary of Finance.
According to sources, the inquiry committee has been directed to review all relevant records and complete its detailed report within 60 days and send it to the competent authorities. According to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, these measures aim to ensure transparency and check violations of rules and regulations. After the investigation is completed, action will be taken against those responsible as per the law.
