SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The passport office in Wana, the main city of South Waziristan district, has not yet been made functional, due to which local citizens are facing severe difficulties.
According to recent reports, despite the appointment of a manager in this office, work has not started in the passport office. According to local people, due to the inactivity of the office, citizens of South Waziristan are facing difficulties in traveling abroad. Due to delays in passport applications, people going abroad are facing difficulties in preparing for their trips on time, which is affecting their travel plans.
Local people said that the government had promised to make the passport office functional for the residents, but it has not been made functional yet, due to which they are facing severe difficulties in their daily life activities. Various quarters have demanded that the government immediately make the passport office functional so that people can be facilitated.
Citizens said that due to the non-opening of this office, they have to go to Peshawar or other distant cities to get a passport, which has become a difficult and time-consuming process. The local authorities have assured that the passport office will be functional soon, but despite this, the solution to this problem is not in sight yet. Local added that this problem is not only causing a waste of time but is also affecting their travel and work plans.
The people of South Waziristan are demanding that the authorities resolve this problem soon and facilitate the people by making the passport office fully functional. This problem is not only causing concern at the local level but is also raising questions about the development work of the entire region and the government’s performance.
