KARACHI: The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has led to the closure of airspaces in several countries, significantly impacting flight operations. Today, a total of 88 flights were canceled in Pakistan, causing major disruptions across multiple cities.

Specifically, 57 flights were scheduled to operate to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, but many cancellations have disrupted international travel. Flights from Karachi to Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, and Dammam were particularly affected, with 27 flights canceled.

In addition to Karachi, flights from Lahore 16, 22 from Islamabad, 10 from Peshawar, Multan 7, Faisalabad 4, and 2 from Sialkot were also canceled.

On Saturday, 42 flights were successfully operated from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, Sialkot, and Faisalabad to various destinations in the Middle East.

In one notable incident, a flight from Multan to Sharjah (G 9559) had to return to Multan after a blast occurred at Dubai Airport. Fortunately, once the situation was deemed under control, the flight resumed its journey.

In response to the recent attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, a total of 184 flights from Pakistan to various destinations in the Middle East have been canceled today due to escalating tensions in the region.

Among the affected flights, 28 were scheduled to depart from Karachi to Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Baghdad. Additionally, 22 flights from Multan to Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat have been canceled. Faisalabad has experienced the cancellation of 10 flights to Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, while 12 flights from Sialkot to various Gulf countries have also been suspended.
