ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, while giving an update on the ongoing Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq in response to Afghanistan’s aggression, said that 464 Afghan Taliban have been killed and more than 665 injured during the operation so far.

In a statement issued on the social networking website X (Twitter), the Federal Minister clarified that Pakistani forces are giving a full and effective response to any aggression from across the border, and terrorist hideouts are being targeted.
Giving details of the operations, Attaullah Tarar said that security forces have so far destroyed 188 check posts of the Afghan Taliban, while capturing 31 important posts and taking control of them.

Pakistan Army artillery carried out a very successful and major operation on the Pak-Afghan border in the Landi Kotal area of ​​Khyber district and killed the famous Afghan commander of Jalalabad, Qahraman, along with his companions.

According to security sources, a group of terrorists led by Commander Qahraman was trying to reach the Torkham border and infiltrate Pakistani territory last night.

Based on solid intelligence information, the Pakistan Army artillery monitored the movement of this group and took timely action and targeted this group of terrorists, as a result of which Commander Qahraman was killed on the spot along with his companions.

The slain terrorist Commander Qahraman belonged to the Torkham area of ​​Afghanistan, which is located near Jalalabad, and he was active in various sabotage activities in the region.

Residents of Panjshir valley have written strong slogans against the Taliban regime, critisizing the Afghan regime.

He further said that along with ground operations, great success has been achieved in air operations, during which 192 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery guns used by terrorists have been destroyed at various locations inside Afghanistan. These losses have severely affected the ability of the cross-border insurgency, and the forces are advancing.
The Federal Minister for Information further said that the Pakistan Air Force has also played a key role in this operation, and so far, 56 strategic locations of terrorists have been successfully targeted across Afghanistan. These airstrikes targeted the enemy’s command and control system and weapons depots to reduce the pressure on the border.
