SWAT: Residents of Swat and its surrounding areas felt moderate earthquake tremors on Sunday, causing brief panic as people rushed out of homes and buildings.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 4.5 on the Richter scale and struck at a depth of 50 kilometres. The epicentre was reported to be in the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Following the tremors, people rushed out of their homes and shops while reciting the Kalma Tayyaba, seeking safety in open spaces.
Initial reports confirmed that no casualties or property damage were reported as a result of the earthquake.
