Bogotá: A plane carrying 15 people has been found in a remote area of Colombia, confirming the tragic deaths of all those who were on board. The aircraft which went missing earlier, had lost contact with air traffic control just moments before its scheduled landing.
It lost radar contact just as it was about to land. The flight lost contact with air traffic control before the accident happened because authorities discovered the plane had been destroyed three hours later.
The group of 15 people included 13 civilians and one Colombian congressman with two crew members. Officials continue to investigate the crash which currently remains under investigation, but they suspect that poor weather conditions caused the deadly accident. The inquiry is ongoing.
Authorities work to determine what caused the crash while the nation finds itself in shock from the devastating disaster which has affected the entire country. The authorities still need to identify the victims because they first need to inform the family members about their deaths.
Plane crash in North Carolina, seven people including NASCAR star killed
On December 19, 2025, a small passenger plane crashed in the US state of North Carolina, killing all seven people on board, including famous NASCAR driver Greg Buffle and his family.
According to local authorities, the accident occurred on Thursday morning near the ‘Statesville Regional Airport’.
