MALAKAND: At least 15 family members died and eight others sustained critical injuries when a truck met with an accident on the Swat-Expressway on Thursday morning.
A tragic traffic accident occurred near Tunnel No. 3 on the Swat Motorway, resulting in the deaths of 15 people and injuries to 8 others when a truck overturned. The victims included men, women, and children.
Upon receiving the report of the accident, the medical response team from Rescue 1122 Malakand quickly arrived at the scene with an ambulance. The motorway police and staff were also present and participated in the rescue efforts.
During the joint operation, the motorway police and staff transported some of the injured and deceased to DHQ Hospital Batkhela using their vehicles, while Rescue 1122 teams took the remaining affected individuals to the same hospital.
Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors confirmed the deaths of 15 people and provided medical assistance to the 8 injured. Four of the seriously injured individuals were referred to a hospital in Swat due to their critical condition.

Initial reports indicated that all those affected belonged to the Gabral area of Bahrain Tehsil in the Swat district. They were part of a nomadic family that seasonally migrates to different areas.
The nature of the accident was extremely serious; however, the timely and professional actions of Rescue 1122 Malakand helped prevent further loss of life.
