Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has said that an attempt to rob banks in Kharan was foiled with the help of security forces.
While addressing a press conference in Quetta on Friday evening, Sarfaraz Bugti said that 15 to 20 people tried to enter Kharan from different routes. They planned to rob banks. An unsuccessful attempt was made to rob the money of ordinary Baloch people that was in the bank.
The Balochistan Chief Minister said that those who raised false slogans of the Baloch nation have now become bank robbers. These terrorists are committing bank robberies, so we will work with the State Bank to formulate a plan of action.
He said that some terrorists looted Rs 3.5 million from the cash counter of the National Bank. The attempt to rob banks in Kharan was foiled.
According to Sarfaraz Bugti, 14 terrorists who came with a request to rob were killed, of whom 12 deaths are confirmed. Four terrorists were killed on the spot at two locations, while another eight terrorists were killed with the help of locals in Kharan.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan said that security forces played a vital role in the operation against the terrorists. One of our colonels and majors was injured while fighting the terrorists.
