According to a report by India Today, the Afghan boy travelled by hiding in the landing gear compartment of a flight from Kabul to Delhi. According to Indian media, the boy managed to enter the restricted area of the Kabul airport and hid in the rear main landing gear compartment of Afghan Airlines KAM flight RQ-4401. The flight reached Delhi at 11 am after a journey of about two hours. The flight crew noticed the boy wandering around the aircraft after landing, which immediately alerted airport security. The boy, a resident of Kunduz in northern Afghanistan, was detained by the airline crew and handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), after which he was taken to Terminal 3 for questioning.
According to Indian news agency, during initial interrogation, the boy claimed that he entered the plane out of curiosity and did not fully understand the consequences of his action. Officials confirmed that he was sent back to Afghanistan by the same plane, which departed from Delhi at 12:30 pm on Sunday.
The Afghan Airlines security team conducted a thorough inspection of the landing gear compartment of the plane, during which a small red speaker, which probably belonged to the boy, was found. According to officials, the plane was declared safe after a thorough inspection, taking into account concerns about sabotage.
