RAWALPINDI: ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Muhammad Rizwan, the wicketkeeper-batsman of the Pakistan cricket team, has made a record in history by reaching a mind-boggling milestone of One-Day International (ODI) cricket.

On Sunday, Rizwan played his 100th ODI. To celebrate his milestone, a surprise moment was staged on the ground before the third and final ODI against Sri Lanka.

After the match, Mike Hesson shared his thoughts with the press, “I am very idol of Rizwan. He is always full of life and energy on the field and Rizwan was like that all the time.

At the event, Naseem Shah put on Rizwan the cap of his 100th match while the other players congratulated him and wished him good luck in the future.

Rizwan, who scored 2,921 runs in his 100 ODI matches, has become a must in the national team ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌line-up.

Pakistan defeats Sri Lanka by six wickets

Earlier, the Pakistan cricket team achieved a dominant victory over Sri Lanka in the One Day International (ODI) series, winning all three matches. In the third and final ODI, Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets, successfully chasing down a target of 212 runs with a total loss of just 6 wickets.

Opener Fakhar Zaman played a pivotal role, scoring an impressive 55 runs. Babar Azam contributed with 34 runs, while Mohammad Rizwan also made a significant impact with a brilliant half-century. Salman Ali Agha remained at the crease, leading the team toward victory. However, Haseebullah Khan was dismissed without scoring a run after facing 12 balls.

In the first match of the series, Pakistan narrowly defeated Sri Lanka by just 6 runs in an exciting contest. The second match saw Pakistan claiming victory again, this time by 8 wickets, successfully chasing down a target of 289 runs in 49 overs with only 2 wickets lost. Babar Azam’s unbeaten century and Mohammad Rizwan’s 51 runs were key contributions to the team’s success in that match.
